(Murungikai Ealai Dosa) Drumstick Leaves dosas

Batter with rice batter and drumstick leaves
Batter
This dosa is very tasty and eat hot dosas. We use only rice and coconut for this dosa.
Ingredients
Boiled Rice                     1cup
Raw Rice                       I cup
Grated Coconut            1/2cup
Drumstick Leaves          1 cup
Salt to taste

Method

Soak both rice for 5 hours and grind with salt and coconut.
Take little batter and add half cup water and boil it.
When it becomes thick add to the batter and mix well. It should be like dosa batter. Heat a tawa add little oil and spread. 
Make dosa and put oil on its sides.
When it is cooked turn the other side..
Cook on medium heat. Cook both sides till it becomes crispy. 
Make dosas with out adding drumstick leaves. 
It is called thenga dosa (coconut dosa)

  2. We make Murungai Keerai Adai with raagi flour(finger millet). This is new to me...wish to give it a try the next time I visit India...

  3. Thank you for putting this south Indian recipes. For long have I been looking for these. It is mostly English people putting Indian recipes or Muslims.

    I do have a "murku/sev maker/machine/grinder", with a few disks. Could I use this one with the slits to make the ribbon pakodas. Could I use this same machine to make ganthias?

    And may I ask for a recipe for 'bundi'
