Dahi Vada |
Ingredients
For Vada
- Urad Dhal.....................1cup
- Pepper Corns ...............1/2 tsp
- Dahi(Yogurt).................4cups
- Green Chili.....................2
- Ginger...........................1tsp
- Coriander Leaves.............few
- Chili powder.................1tsp
- Cumin Seeds .................1/2tsp
- Grated Coconut ............1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Oil to fry
Method
- Soak the urad dhal for 3 hours.Drain all the water add pepper and salt. grind into smooth paste.
- Do not add more water. The dough should be fluffy. Heat the oil in a medium flame.
- With wet hands take a small ball sized dough drop into oil and fry all vadas till they become golden.
- Remove the vadas in a paper towel.
- Grind the coconut, ginger salt and green chili and add the paste to the yogurt and mix well
- Heat a pan add 1tsp cumin seeds, and when it colour changes little add to the dahi.
- Drop all the vadas into the yogurt ( add salt).
- Sprinkle chili powder. green chili and coriander leaves..
DAHI VADA is my fav dish. I simply like it.
